Do a barrel roll.

and a slightly less used, more character specific bonus meme:
"Dude, it's cool. Everyone's furry for Krystal."

And with that intro out of the way now...

Shockingly, I'm actually not a huge fan of Starfox. I mean, I love the series, but I don't play it much. Don't have any of the games. Now, this fanart was inspired by a 3D model of Krystal that I found. Couple that with my recent knowledge of how to actually render shadows in DAZ|Studio, and you end up with this little beast of an image. (took about an hour to render, and about a full day of tweaking, posing, and test-rendering before that.)

And yes, this is a 3D image here. The text is the only addition in Photoshop, everything else is purely the rendering engine.

And now for a credits section, since I seem to have used bits and pieces from a lot of places to make this now...

:pointr: Krystal is © Nintendo, as well as Rare studios.
:pointr: Krystal's 3D model is thanks to ~CharleyFox and ~LDragon.
:pointr: The environment is "Echoes of Andromeda", released by DAZ3D.
:pointr: The "Arwing" Starfox font is thanks to =DarkAngelX. It took a bit of tweaking for the logo in the top-left there (to match the game logo a bit), but that aside, the font's awesome.

...and I think that's everything. Obviously, credit to me for making the image, too. =P

Feel free to use this as you like, there's a full-size 1280x960 resolution version if you hit "download".

But in the end, you have to admit, day-long renders are the best.

Anyway, on to the image. Love the wind effect, you really got that down. Lighting looks beautiful, especailly on the water. And the logo at the top is a nice touch as well.

Fine work, very fine work

The only thing I don't like about day-long renders is not knowing how it'll look until after it's done. =D

Thanks for the comment!

Cool. The pose looks very natural, and the shadows too. :)
