...everybody does it eventually. getting older is just a natural part of life.

Why, just today I did it. And see? I'm still fine. (although we'll see how that beer changes things.)

Yes, that's right. As of today, I'm legal drinking age. (That's twenty-one here.) Of course, I'm not going to spend my whole day drinking; I've simply got a few bottles for tasting purposes. My first experience with beer was when I was about four or five, my father let me have a sip. (I strongly disliked it.)
Drinking isn't a hobby I look to acquire, but hey, it would be nice to not hate the stuff in case I do ever go out drinking sometime. So down the hatch. (later.)

In hopes to tap into the potential I seem to have locked away within me, I've set myself to making myself some birthday giftart.
Last time I sat down to make some birthday giftart, it was for a friend of mine; the day of the birthday party, I managed to draw a full picture within a few hours.

...that was about a month ago, and I still haven't been able to finish any other projects since then. As a matter of fact, right now, I'm on the computer because I decided I would try to draw a picture of Myrkr. (as you can see, I'm not doing that right now.)
I seem to work well under pressure.
Unfortunately, I seem to suck horribly at putting myself under pressure.

Anyway, I have quite a few projects that need to be done; with any luck, I can figure out a way to kick myself in the ass and get at least one of them done. Look forward to checking them out when I upload them! (but don't hold your breath for 'em.)

Yep, tagged! A while ago, actually, by the lovely ~Takoto. It's [yet another] one of those "X things about yourself"; I've done a few of these before, but not recently, so let's see what I can scrounge up. I'll try not to post stuff I've done before.

1. I started my musical preferences at a young age, listening to The Beatles. Somehow, that later turned into techno, and more recently, it seems to have found a balance in the middle, ranging from electro to progressive-rock/metal and indie-rock. And yes, I listen to The Beatles a bit now again. (speak of the devil. "And Your Bird Can Sing" by The Beatles just popped up on my radio station.)

2. I tend to create original characters awfully quickly, inspired by all sorts of things; one of my latest is Ayvar, who I created after talking with a friend of mine about how I create characters. I mentioned something about eyepatches; by the next day, I had Ayvar, who's special ability allows him to view the world in a third-person view through his right eye.

3. I'm attempting to grow a goatee. It's a project I've been working on for a few years now. Unfortunately, all I've managed to accumulate so far is a bit of dark patch of fuzz down there. (it's tough to see it.) Someday...

4. I like being in charge of things (I'm pretty good at it too), but I don't like taking charge of things. As such, I'm currently only in charge of mainly nomination-driven endeavors. (sysop on two wikis so far.)

5. Here's one that I've mentioned before, but it's worth mentioning again. My username is born from my real name, George, after it's run through a Japanese pronunciation. "Derako" is merely "Draco" (which is Latin, and the name of the Dragon constellation), after being run through the same process as my first name.

6. The previous fact was inspired by Franz Ferdinand's song "What She Came For", which started playing on my radio station as I was trying to think of a fact to use. Specifically, it was inspired by this line:

7. I'm completely in love with the idea of stealth. Ninjas, spies, special ops, the works. I often practice sneaking about (I'm pretty good at accidentally sneaking up on family members). A lot of my original characters tend to reflect this love.

8. I enjoy dismantling and rebuilding mechanical objects. Mostly dismantling though.

1. Grown up. (this one's my favorite answer to the question, and it's true.)
2. Fireman. (that one's really old and doesn't apply anymore.)
3. Some sort of influence in the world's energy policies. (I'd love to work on designing electric vehicles.)
4. A ninja. (if this ever happens, you'll never hear of it. I could be one now.)
5. A professional artist. (either visual art, or a musician. I'd love to make music, and I wouldn't mind making my own album art too.)
